Drake's SB Prediction
Backstage at the Grammy Awards, artists were milling about - some greeting one another, some in their dressing rooms getting ready to take the stage. Lil Wayne and Drake, meanwhile, were as calm as if they were sitting in Weezy’s Miami condo watching “SportsCenter.”
Drake brought up Sunday’s Super Bowl: “You excited about it?” he asked Wayne.
“I’m a Brett Favre fan,” Wayne said of the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, who was knocked out of the running by the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game. “Football season ended for me [two weeks ago].”

Drake talks about Waynes time in Prison
Sunday night, Drake took the stage with his mentor and current Rolling Stone cover star Lil Wayne for a highly anticipated collaboration with Eminem at the Grammys. After the big show, the 23-year-old rapper was exuberant about the appearance, but somber about Weezy’s upcoming prison sentence, which is expected to begin on February 9th.
“For me and Wayne, it was just such a full circle moment,” Drake said of the Grammys. “We started out this year on a mission for him to bring up some new artists under his label, Young Money. It’s very rare that an artist is successful in that, bringing up somebody and having the world recognize somebody else that they believe in,” he added (Drake received two Grammy nominations this year). “We had a great moment onstage. I gave him a big hug and told him I loved him. It was amazing.”
Lil Wayne is expected to serve eight to 10 months of his year-long sentence on gun possession charges, and though his associates tell Rolling Stone there are plans in place to keep Weezy in fans’ minds during his time in Rikers — via everything from jailhouse Twitters to videos for his proteges — Drake says Weezy’s absence will be felt hard. “I think you’ll miss everything about Wayne. I don’t think there will be anybody like Lil Wayne ever again in hip-hop. He paralyzes a room when he walks into it, his wordplay, the excitement that he brings to his music,” Drake told RS. “I think that for eight months a lot of us will have to work a lot harder to keep hip-hop as exciting as it’s been for the last two years.”
As for how he thinks Weezy will hold up in prison, Drake said, “He’s a strong-willed guy. I can imagine it would take a toll on anybody. I just hope that he comes out for the better.”

2 new tracks
There are two news tracks featuring Drake.
Bedrock pt. 2 (Young Money)
Put it Down (Bun B ft. Drake)
I'll try to post them, but until then, check them out elsewhere, they're great! Also, did you notice that Drake makes a reference to Aaliyah's song: Are you that somebody" when he spits the line "Girl, I got to watch my back - cause I'm not just anybody"? In her song for the Dr. Dolittle soundtrack she belts the lyrics, "Boy, I got to watch my back - cause I'm not just anybody". As you may know, Drake is a fan of Aaliyah, so that's where the inspiration came from!

Hope for Haiti 2/5/10
Many of us thought that the “Hope For Haiti” telethon & concert that raised money for Haiti earthquake relief would be the final big effort by R&B artists to help out, but we were wrong; BET Networks and a number of entertainers are getting ready to put on another, similar event. Mary J. Blige, Drake, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Robin Thicke and Monica are among the artists scheduled to perform at the “SOS Saving OurSelves – Help for Haiti” show taking place at 8 p.m. Eastern time in Miami, Florida on Feb. 5, 2010. The two-hour telethon, which will be hosted Sean “Diddy” Combs, Queen Latifah and Pharrell, airs live on BET, MTV, VH1 and Centric (the channel formerly known as BET Jazz). It’ll also be streamed live on bet.com. Proceeds will aid various organizations including Yele Haiti, CARE, Project Medishare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.

Drake likes Taylor Swift

Grammy nominee and performer Drake tells "Extra" his favorite moment from the awards show was seeing Taylor Swift -- and he wants to work with her in future!
"Seeing Taylor Swift in person is always fun for me," Drake, real name Aubrey Drake Graham, dished to "Extra's" AJ Calloway backstage at Sunday's show. "I bought this Taylor Swift t-shirt the other day that I might wear tonight."
The rapper continued, "I just have this small little thing with her, I just like her whole being. I'm excited about her career and I'm excited about wearing my t-shirt tonight."
When Calloway asked Drake if he would consider collaborating with the country megastar, Drake answered, "That would be nice, I'm down!"

Drake, Em, Wayne, & Travis rocked the Grammy's
Thanks: DannyDatdude @ YouTube.com
P.S. If the video gets blocked then we apologize but a few have been blocked already.
Lil Wayne, Eminem and Drake closed out the Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 31) - and gave the censors a workout - with a medley of "Forever" and unannounced surprise track "Drop the World," marking the first time the group had performed either song live onstage.
The performance started with Wayne, wearing a white jacket and white T-shirt that read "Listen to Lil Wayne," spitting his opening verse from "Drop the World."

Eminem gives Drake "reassurance"
“I think it’s a great night for hip-hop,” Drake said at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 31). “Just that medium being acknowledged at all.”
The 23-year-old Canadian, himself acknowledged with two nominations, also had a great night - he got to close the show with the first-ever live performance of “Forever,” joining Lil Wayne and Eminem on the Grammy stage. And while Drake is certainly used to rocking stages with his Young Money boss Weezy, he got some surprising encouragement from Slim Shady during rehearsals.
“Em gave me probably one of the best speeches … not really a speech, but … he gave me that reassurance,” Drake said on the red carpet. “He was like, ‘Man, anytime you need to look over at me, don’t get nervous. Just look over at me, man, and I’ll give it back to you. Everything will be all right. Don’t be nervous.’ For him to say that to me - I feel like that was an important moment. It was nice.”

One glaring omission from “Forever,” though, was the appearance of Kanye West. The Louis Vuitton Don is apparently back in the lab.
“I think ‘Ye’s in a good creative space right now,” Drizzy said of his absence. “I think he’s trying to create that next album the world needs. I know he’s working very hard somewhere.”
During the medley, Lil Wayne and Eminem also performed “Drop the World” from Wayne’s Rebirth album, in stores Tuesday.

Best for last!
Good job, Drake (Wayne, Eminem, and Travis Barker) for putting on a terrific performance. It was a great way to end the show. They definitely saved the best for last!
